About Limbo Fine Art
WINNER, Gallery of the Year 2006, CityBeat Readers Poll
Limbo Fine Art Gallery was started in 2003 by San Diego native Roger Ray. After graduating the UCLA Art Department in 1993 Roger began the short-lived, but highly regarded Purple Gallery in Los Angeles from 1995 to 1997.
After returning to San Diego in 1997, Ray began the long process of planning and then constructing the future gallery for Limbo. Opened in June of 2003, Limbo. is now embarking on a six show schedule for 2004. A full schedule of ten to twelve shows a year should be attained by 2005.
Currently occupying 1500 s.f. in the back half of the building where Ray’s Tennis now stands on University Avenue, Limbo plans to expand to have street access in the future. This final manifestation of Limbo will include 2000 s.f. of space that will house a kitchen, theatre, and outdoor stage for a variety of art-related events. Limbo is the future of cutting edge contemporary fine art in San Diego.
Stay tuned to all the up-coming events at www.limbofinearts.com.
